The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of stale beer and neglected washrooms suffused the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of urine , old age and sickness . The serving zone , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and litter that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks .
